Aeonium arboreum
"Tree Aeonium"
LHBC 257
Family: Crassulaceae
Native to: Canary Islands. Often found on rocky slopes near ocean.
LEAF SUCCULENT. This group is noted for its attractive often flattened rosettes of succulent leaves at the tips of fleshy stems and bright yellow flowers in terminal inflorescences.
Horticultural notes: Because Aeonium species are native to dry Mediterranean climates, they do very well outdoors in California where they thrive on winter rains and hot dry summers. Can only take light frost. Can be grown indoors under very bright light.
