Family: Flagellariaceae |
Native to: Southeast Asia, India, and Australia |
TROPICAL PERENNIAL VINE. A relative of the grasses! Flagellaria is the only genus in Flagellariaceae, with only four recognized species. The family is considered the sister taxon to the "grained" clade, which includes the grass family and two small obscure families. The leaf tips form tendrils that allow the plant to attach to other plants and climb in the forest. |
