| Seth Lathrop Andrews was an American physician who served as a Protestant missionary in Hawaii. Born in Vermont and educated at Dartmouth College, Andrews attended Medical College in Fairfield, NY. The S.L. Andrews plant collections at Cornell University (BH) were collected during this time, in the 1830s, and are some of the earliest collections. Andrews served in Hawaii from 1837 to 1849, after which he returned to the U.S. |
