Isabel Swartwood Arnold

Isabel Arnold was an American educator whose plant collections were made mostly in the Upper Chemung Valley, Steuben County, New York. She was a native of Painted Post, New York and a Radcliffe College graduate. Arnold was first a teacher and then head of Plainfield Seminary in New Jersey. Her specimens were donated to Cornell University (BH) by Stuart Weller, a paleobotanist and Cornell alumnus.
