Mabel (nee White) Allen from Greenwich, New York, graduated from Cornell University with a B.A. in 1909. Allen was employed as an Assistant to Karl M. Wiegand and as Herbarium Assistant, ca. 1920s and 1930s. Her botanical collections at Cornell University (BH) number close to 300 and are primarily from Tompkins County and the Cayuga Lake Basin of New York.
