James Andrews was an English draughtsman and botanical painter best known for his flower paintings. His illustrations are featured in nature writer Sarah Bowdich Lee's book Trees, Plants, and Flowers: Their Beauties, Uses, and Influences (1854). He also taught flower-painting to wealthy young ladies and wrote several books on the subject. Though scientifically accurate, his style is can be viewed more as fine art illustration and often features assorted bouquets of flowers and fruits.
