Jacqueline Nancy Mary Adams

Jacqueline Nancy Mary Adams was a New Zealand botanist and botanical illustrator recognized for her numerous contributions to publications on native plants of New Zealand. Adams was an artist with the Botany Division of the New Zealand Department of Scientific and Industrial Research and later at the Dominion Museum, before transferring to the Herbarium at the latter institution in 1969. As Assistant Curator of Botany at Dominion she built up the collection of algae twenty-fold and contributed to several publications, culminating in the comprehensive Seaweeds of New Zealand in 1994.
